Hurricane Shutter Reminder

ALL hurricane shutters may only be put in place on or after June 1. Homeowners who depart prior to June 1 can put shutters in place on or after May 22nd. Removal must be completed by Nov 30th of each year. Metallic colored shutters (unpainted metal) may only be put in place if it is announced that Indian River County is in the projected track of a hurricane that could make landfall in Indian River County within ten days. The shutters must be removed within two weeks from the date the impending hurricane has passed through Indian River County
